Important update:
Over the past year and a half, MDLD Auction House has had the honor and privilege of receiving many rare and beautiful Art Nouveau collectibles from a specific collector from Even Yehuda (out of respect for his modesty we will not disclose his name).
His wife is originally from one of the kibbutzim that was hit hard on October 7th.
He is insisting that all of the proceeds from his items in tonight's auction go to the survivors of the kibbutz to help them, in any way possible, try and rebuild their lives.
We were so moved by his gesture (and his broken heart...along with all of our broken hearts) that we will also donate much of our commission from these items to the same charity.
Praying for quieter and more peaceful times ahead.

Our journey this time begins with Art Nouveau and Deco pieces with historic and Judaica items sprinkled throughout.
The next stop is Israel and its establishment. Then we will take a rest and make a l'chaim with some nice alcohol. After we're hydrated we'll go to sea with some great maritime collector items.
We'll take the scenic route through Persian and Islamic collectables.
Next stop on our journey is a full tour of silver. We'll take breaks to take in some EL AL memorabilia and some classic Israeliana sites. Next stop is gold and high quality jewelry, should you want to bring home a souvenier. We can't leave without tasting some culture with fine arts. And our last stop, a magic carpet ride to the end...

Torah scribe: R' Weiss Incredible piece by Gadi Nataf. Kever Rachel, full of design and innovation, comes apart to reveal a Megillat Esther, a tzedakah box, and a grogger/ ra'ashan. A work of art that is also suitable for use. Truly magnificent. The Megillat Esther is kosher and complete, by the renown sofer Rav Avraham Chaim Weiss, a sofer satam for the past 30 years. He wrote megillot for some of the Gedolei Yisrael and was a student of Rav Shmuel HaLevi Wosner, z”l. Gadi Nataf comes from a respected family of silversmiths in Tunis, who have for generations passed down both the art of silver work and dedication to Tora observance. Gadi designs and creates unique, impressive works of Judaica, among them the prize-winning Magic Dreidle. Most of his pieces are inspired by his knowledge of Kabbala, as well as his own spring of creativity. All of his works are made of high quality silver, intricately designed and are artistic, as well as religious and spiritual, masterpieces.

גדי נטף נולד בישראל למשפחה טוניסית שעלתה ארצה ב -1949. הוא למד בישיבה עד הצבא ושימש כחובש קרבי. לאחר שהצטרף גדי לחמישה אחיו והפך לצורף ויצר יצירות אמנות בכסף ובזהב. גדי עובד עכשיו עם בנו ועם אחיינו, יוצר חידושים משוכללים כמו "ספינת המצוות" ו"מדריד הקסמים ". גדי משתמש בטכניקות הייחודיות שמלמדים אותו ואת אחיו על ידי אביהם שמעון נטף, שלמד מאביו ואפילו דורות מבוגרים. טכניקות אלו מביאות את יצירות האמנות של גדי של עבודת יד של ג'די לרמה שאינה מתמשכת עוד בעולם המכני של היום. באולפן קטן בלב ירושלים, גדי נטף מקדיש הרבה זמן לכל יצירה, מתרגם מושגים קבליים של השפע האלוהי ושל הספרות הקדושות לתוך יודאיקה בעבודת יד קפדנית. אין פרט קטן מדי, שום חלק של חתיכת לא משמעותי. כל פרט זעיר מקבל תשומת לב דקה. האומנות חוזרת לזמן שבו אמן בילה זמן רב בהרהורים ובהשראה כמו בעבודת יד.
