Sefer Autographed by the Holy  Admorim of Gur
The Sfas Emes
The Imrei Emes
The Pnei ‎Menachem ‎

This sefer Mutzal Me’eish was in the possession of the holy Sfas Emes the Admor Rabbi Aryeh Leib Alter of Gur, and bears his holy handwritten autograph, the sefer was bequeathed to his son the Imrei Emes, and later to his grandson the Pnei ‎Menachem of Gur.‎

The holy Sfas ‎Emes inscribed “Hak[atan] Aryeh Leib” twice on the title page of the sefer Mutzal Me’eish.

The title page bears as well the stamp of ‎the Imrei Emes “Avraham Mordechai Alter of Gur” and an autographed inscription handwritten by his ‎son the Pnei Menachem: “Hash[em] Yis[borach] has granted me, Pinchas Menachem ‎Alter of Yerushalayim Ir Hakodesh, may she be speedily rebuilt”.

The sefer also bears the stamp “From the estate of our father the Admor Ztvkl”l” which ‎was stamped on the books of the 'Sfas Emes' after his petirah.‎

The Admor Rabbi Aryeh Leib Alter of Gur (1847-1905), renowned as Sfas Emes after his ‎sefer, was the grandson, prime disciple and successor of the Chiddushei Hari’m, founder of ‎the Gur dynasty. Following the passing of his grandfather in 1866, he was crowned Admor of ‎Gur at the young age of 19, yet he only accepted the leadership as Admor four years later. ‎Under his leadership, Gur flourished and expanded into the largest Chassidus in Poland, and his genius and brilliant method of illuminating the wisdom of Chazal drew thousands to flock to his Court. Both his sefarim the Sfas Emes on the Torah and his chiddushim on Shas are ‎regarded as fundamental works in Torah literature.‎

The Admor Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter of Gur (1866-1948), renowned as the Imrei ‎Emes, was the son of the Sfas Emes. He succeeded his father as Admor of Gur in 1905, ‎filling this position for 43 years. The Imrei Emes was one of the founders of Agudas Yisrael ‎and amongst the leaders of Torah Jewry during the catastrophic era of both World Wars. A tzaddik and ‎genius who mastered both the Revealed and Hidden Torah and influenced thousands, he left ‎an indelible impact on the Torah world.‎

The Admor Rabbi Pinchas Menachem Alter (1926-1996), renowned as the Pnei ‎Menachem, was the son of the Imrei Emes and seventh Admor in the glorious Gur dynasty. ‎A genius in all realms of Torah, he served for many years as Rosh Yeshivah of Yeshivas ‎Sfas Emes.‎
