Includes a Pesach Haggadah with Spanish instructions written in Hebrew letters.
The Spanish language instructions were intended for the descendants of Anusim (Marranos) living in Amsterdam’s Portuguese community who were not fluent in Hebrew.
Beautiful copy in good condition, gilded book edges, original Amsterdam leather binding decorated with many gold engravings.
Amsterdam, 1726. Printed at the printing press established that year by Dr. Naftali Hertz Levi. 175 leaves. Page size: 16.4 cm.
