Third Day of Selichos, to the Order of “So You Shall Live, ” A Year of Great Bounty and Goodness
“May all our prayers and shofar blasts be accepted with compassion and desire before the Master of the world, among the pr ayers and shofar blasts of the true tzaddikim of the generation”
In this letter, the acronym of the first four lines form the word אהבה, ahavah (love), symbolizing Rabbi Itzik’l’s immense love for every Jew. In his signature, he notes his illustrious lineage as a descendant of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk.
The Admor Rabbi Itzik’l of Pshevorsk (1882-1976) was a scion of the Noam Elimelech and devout chassid of the Admor of Shinova. He established his Holy Court in Pshevorsk, Poland where his name spread far and wide as a holy and pious leader.
After the Holocaust, he settled in Antwerp where thousands flocked to him for blessings.
