A candlestick made of olive wood painted dark brown. First half of the 20th century. Jerusalem. Decorated with a vase-shaped carving work with two leaf branches and three candlesticks. The round base stands on three rolled legs. The foot is slightly domed and has a large pear-shaped body, carved in a row of high relief acanthus leaves around the base of the vase, chased in a grille on its face and topped with a bundle of leaves hugged by a narrow wavy ring. At the top, a smaller vase is shaped, with a cup-shaped depression above it located above a round wax pan with a floral edge. Two branches on the side of the upper vase are carved with large leaves and each branch has a dent - similar to the central one. The base of the candlestick is carved in a row of high relief acanthus leaves. Dimensions: Height 32 cm. Source: Private collection.
